Who will win Super Bowl XLV?

Training camp has just started but I'll take the Ravens right now.

Super Bowl MVP: Dante' Stallworth is the story of the year as he catches 6 balls for 119 yards with two scores.

Ravens 31, Packers 24
Ray Lewis jerseys gets his second title after the Ravens shut down the Packers and their bend, but don't break defense on the strength of a Terrell Suggs pick-six late in the fourth quarter.

Super Bowl XLV Prediction
The Pack does doesn't have a workhorse running back, but Aaron Rodgers is the next best thing to sliced bread amongst young quarterbacks in the NFL. Now Ryan Grant isn't a pushover, as he up over 1,200 yards last year. What is super exciting about the Packers is Rodgers, whom I think is the next Montana, Brady, or Favre type quarterback in this league. Rodgers put up 4,434 yards passing, 30 touchdowns, and a 103.2 QB rating against only 7 interceptions last year. The thing about the Packers is that they are sneaky good in an NFC North that looks to be a real tough division this year with the Minnesota Vikings and a much improved Chicago Bears team. The key here is very similar to the situation in Baltimore with new Ed Reed jerseys. If Al Harris can return midseason and fill the nickel back slot, the Pack will have a secondary along with Charles Woodson and Tramon Williams that can really be beastly. Even without Johnny Jolly, I think the Pack will make the Super Bowl.

NFC Champions: Green Bay Packers

But the reason the Ravens will go to the Super Bowl is their defense, which has been their calling card since they moved to the Charm City from Cleveland in 1996. Defense wins championships and this will be a championship caliber defense. Last year, the Ravens, led by Ray Lewis, only yielded 300 yards per game: 207 in the air and 93 on the ground. Ed Reed will miss the first six weeks of the season, but this defense will shine anyway. The Ravens' new "high flying" offense coupled with brutal tough-nosed defense makes them my choice to win the AFC.

Defense is the name of the game with the Baltimore Ravens. However, with the addition of some key offensive firepower, expect big things from the Ravens in 2010-2011. Anquan Bolden and Dante' Stallworth are major additions to an offensive unit with an anemic history. Stallworth and Bolden along with Derrick Mason, Mark Clayton and Todd Heap should be one of the elite pass catching groups in the NFL this year. Ray Rice jerseys is one of the most versatile backs in the league and with fullback Le'Ron McClain leading the way, life is always easier. Willis McGahee will also contribute with his bruising style which gives the Ravens a nice 1-2 punch.

AFC Champions: Baltimore Ravens

Who will win Super Bowl XLV? The Jets are loaded and the Bengals, Cowboys, new Saints jerseys and Vikings all have a shot, but here is how it will play out this year in the NFL...

Questions Heading Into Broncos

 Quarterback Quandary

I could make 5 questions just about the quarterback position.  Perhaps another Top 5 for another time.  For now, let's focus on the 50,000 foot view.  The new Broncos jerseys, on paper at least, have depth at the position they haven't had for years.  The question is, can any of these guys step up and become solid NFL starting quarterbacks?  Kyle Orton will go into camp as the top guy.  He should.  Orton was having his best season as a pro before injuring an ankle against Washington.  He never was really the same after that.  Unfortunately for Orton, injuries have been an issue his entire pro career.  Each time he seems to be finding a rhythm, something happens.   One has to wonder too, as Orton heads into his late 20's, if we haven't already seen the ceiling of Orton's potential.

Perhaps we got the answer to that question when the Broncos acquired Brady Quinn from the Browns for Peyton Hillis and a 6-pack of Orange Crush.  Like Orton, Quinn has yet to firmly grab a hold of any opportunity he's been given.  Unlike Orton, Quinn comes to Denver to play in an offense very similar to the one he starred in at Notre Dame.  Questions about Quinn remain, however, the same questions that existed when he came out of college - can he make all the throws, is he accurate enough down-field, can he read a defense, is he a good leader in the huddle.  All those still need answered.  There is little doubt to me, however, that Quinn will be given every opportunity to unseat Orton.

Of course, how can I talk quarterbacks without talking about Tim Tebow jersey.  All eyes will be on Tebow when camp opens and that in and of itself could be another question on this list.  Tebow has said and done all the right things since high school it seems and I doubt that changes now.  Tebow possesses every intangible you could want from a quarterback, now he needs to translate all that to the field.  It was enough in high school, it was enough in college.  My guess is it isn't if Tebow can do the job, it is when, or, how soon.
Who Will Catch the Ball?

Some might say that having the quarterback question all the way at #4 is a bit low.  Perhaps, but starting with #3, these questions will have a direct impact on whoever is taking snaps under center in games for the Broncos.  It starts with the receiving corp.  Brandon Marshall jersey and his 300+ catches the past 3 seasons were sent to Miami.  That is a lot of production to replace - even if there will be fewer headaches.  The Broncos addressed the position in the Draft, starting with top pick Demaryius Thomas.  Thomas is as talented as any receiver to come out the past few years but he is rough around the edges.  Thomas is also coming off a foot injury.  The other rookie wide receiver has some injury concerns of his own.  Eric Decker, from Minnesota, is a far-more refined receiver than Thomas, while not as gifted.  I hate to make the 'white-receiver' comparison, but Decker will remind a lot of people of another WR to wear #87 for the Broncos - Ed McCaffrey.  Like Easy Ed, Decker won't blow anyone away with his speed, but Decker knows how to read a defense, knows how to get open, and catches just about everything he gets his fingers on.

The Broncos will need the veterans on the unit to step up until the rookies are ready, however.  That starts with Jabar Gaffney, whose 14-catch performance in the season finale gave fans a sneak-peak at what he can do.  Gaffney is under-rated and can be effective in 2010.  Eddie Royal will be looking to bounce back after struggling in his sophomore campaign.  Expect new Royal jersey to lineup more inside where he can take advantage of slower defenders.  Brandon Lloyd will also get a look at camp.

All eyes that aren't on Tebow will be focused on this group.  For better or worse, the Broncos chose not to pay Brandon Marshall.  How well the guys left behind and added to the receiving corps perform will go a long way towards determining if it was a mistake.
Offensive Line 'If's'

The biggest question facing the Broncos heading into Training Camp 2010?  Who is going to play on the offensive line?!  Sure, we think we know.  IF Ryan Harris is fully healthy, he'll come back to play right tackle.  IF Ryan Clady comes back from off-season knee surgery, he'll be at left tackle.  IF rookie J.D. Walton can pick up the line calls and protections, he'll be the starting center.  You get my drift?

The Broncos have plenty of talent along the offensive line, but until the injured come back and prove their healthy, no one knows for sure.  Until the young guys come out and prove it on the field, no one knows for sure.  That is the question surrounding the line, and it is a HUGE question.  Let's face it, even if the answers to the previous 4 questions were answered with a best-case scenario answer, the entire season can get derailed fast if the Broncos don't get consistent play up front.

Think about it.  The Broncos downward spiral started in Baltimore.  That happens to be the game Ryan Harris was injured.  Coincidence?  Maybe, maybe not.  There is little doubt that it affected the Broncos the rest of the season.  Even the veteran depth, Russ Hochstein, is coming off knee surgery.  As it stands, the Broncos have one position that could be considered something close to a sure thing - Chris Kuper at right guard.  The rest is a complete toss-up.

That is, of course, what Training Camp is for.  The Broncos have plenty of questions.  Sure, it is fun for guys like me to try and answer them.  It passes the time until the real answers show themselves, starting this Sunday.  All we really know right now is we have hope.  Enjoy it, because reality, whatever it is, is rapidly approaching.

Bet NFL Future Odds

The Bengals made a couple of moves this offseason, including adding receiver Antonio Bryant and safety Gibril Wilson. They also released receiver Laveranues Coles and didn't re-sign running back Larry Johnson, who signed with the Redskins as a free agent.

In the draft, the Bengals jerseys added the top rated tight end prospect in Oklahoma's Jermaine Gresham. They took troubled but talented defensive end Carlos Dunlap in the second round and with a pair of selections in the third round, they took receiver Jordan Shipley of Texas and cornerback Brandon Ghee of Wake Forest.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Sports Interaction, the Bengals are currently 30/1 long shots to win the 2011 Super Bowl jerseys. They're also 16/1 to win the AFC and are +300 on the money line to win the AFC North Division. Oddsmakers have set the team's season win total at 7.5 games this year.

Even though they're 30/1 long shots and shocked many pundits by making the playoffs last year, that's not to say they were a fluke either. They have a solid veteran quarterback in Carson Palmer, an above-average offensive line, a rejuvenated running back in Cedric Benson and have added two pieces in Bryant and Gresham to the passing game. (To go along with the always-flamboyant Chad Ochocinco jersey, of course.)

Defensively, the Bengals boast two rising stars at cornerback in Leon Hall and Jonathan Joseph, as well as an upcoming linebacker corps featuring Keith Rivers and Rey Maualuga.

That said, this is a team that needs to stay healthy because depth is a concern at most positions and Benson needs to stay out of trouble (which is something that he has been unable to do throughout his NFL career). Assuming the key players stay relatively injury-free, then there's no reason the Bengals can't make another postseason run. And thus, they're a potential value at the odds below.

2011 Super Bowl Odds: Cincinnati Bengals 30/1

Odds to Win AFC: Cincinnati Bengals 16/1

Odds to Win AFC North: Cincinnati Bengals +300

2010 NFL Season Win Totals: Cincinnati Bengals O/U 7.5

2010 Fantasy Football Quarterback

1. Aaron Rodgers, GB. If you owned Aaron Rodgers jersey last year, you likely consumed ways too much Alka-Seltzer. That's because his O-line was so shoddy, every blitzing defender seemed to get a clear shot at Rodgers. Without really knowing Rodgers potential, we all winced and waited for his name to show up on the injury report. Say all you want about Drew Brees, Peyton Manning or anyone else on this list, but I'll take the QB who can take a licking and keep on flicking the ball down the field. His line will be much improved, his weapons are young and more than able, and he has a workmanlike running game behind him.

2. Drew Brees, NO. Perhaps he'd be better ranked as 1A. The Saints offense revolves around the passing game, and there are more weapons at Brees' disposal than you'll find in a Quentin Tarantino film. The loss of third-down back Mike Bell will potentially lead to more red zone pass attempts, and Brees will continue to rake up the stats, Madden curse or no Madden curse.

3. Peyton Manning jersey, IND. What can one say that hasn't already been said about this guy during his illustrious career? I was fully expecting him to take a step backwards last season, and he responded by sprinting a 100-meter dash forward. Anthony Gonzalez adds yet another young and able weapon to Manning's arsenal, and i think No. 18 will have something to prove this season after falling short in the Super Bowl.

4. Matt Schaub, HOU. Here's where my rankings may conflict with others, but I'm not too worried about that. Schaub's biggest detractor last season was concerns about him starting a full slate of games. He met that challenge and then some. He throws to the best WR in the game. He has a stellar supporting cast. Many forget how effective Owen Daniels was in the passing game last season before his injury. Daniels will be back this season, and the Kevin Walter/Jacoby Jones combo should provide a solid backup option for Schaub. It is obvious that the Texans are a pass heavy team, and the running game is still a question mark. Plus, the Texans will be in more shootouts than the other teams represented so far on this list.

5. Tony Romo, DAL. After a very productive 2009 season, Romo gets an uber-rookie receiving talent in Dez Bryant to play catch with. Miles Austin showed he can be a solid option, Jason Witten provides a reliable safety net and Felix Jones, who is a huge asset out of the backfield as a receiver, is slated to get more action in the offense.

6. Tom Brady, NE. Some knock Brady's value this season due to the questions surrounding Wes Welker's health. However, the Patriots have ample talent available to fill the void, and did nothing to bring in an elite running back to shift the offense's overall focus away from the pass. Randy Moss should have a huge season … he's in a contract situation and knows he's likely out of New England after this season. He will step up his game, which will only help Brady.

7. Philip Rivers, SD. Rivers took the next step in his quarterbacking career last season and produced very solid stats across the board. Concerns about Vincent Jackson's situation with the Chargers is the only red flag to watch with this young up-and-comer.

8. Jay Cutler, CHI. The 26 interceptions last year was simply unacceptable, and a reason to be sour on Cutler in 2010. However, one has to like the addition of Offensive Coordinator, Mike Martz and the chemistry that is allegedly forming between the two already. The Bears lack any proven receiving commodities, but do have a good mix of speed and size among the weapons.

9. Matt Ryan, ATL. Another head-scratcher, perhaps, for some reading this list. However, Ryan is primed to take the next step in his maturing under center this season. Even in a "disappointing" sophomore season, new Ryan jersey finished with 22 touchdowns. Roddy White is an elite receiver, and while Tony Gonzalez isn't getting any younger, he's still a reliable option. If you look at Peyton Manning's stats his first two seasons as a pro QB, you'd be surprised at how similar they are to Matt Ryan's. That is one of many reasons I have Ryan as one of my QB sleepers in drafts this summer.

10. Brett Favre, MIN. As the chinstrap ninja faithful know, I'm a huge Favre fan, and recently wrote him a letter on his pending yearly late-summer decision on whether or not to play again. Favre was purely amazing stats-wise last season, and there is little reason to think he won't be effective again as quarterback of the Vikings. All the big-play weapons are still at his disposal, and the Vikings have some juicy matchups again in 2010. Just don't expect him to throw only seven interceptions again.

11. Eli Manning football jersey, NYG. Quietly, Eli has become a solid fantasy QB in the league, and is someone who shouldn't be overlooked on draft day. The 4,021 yards and 27 TDs were career highs for Manning, and he has emerging weapons in Steve Smith, Hakeem Nicks and Mario Manningham. I'm also a fan of Ramses Barden. The Giants running game doesn't inspire a lot of confidence, and will likely lead to another solid passing campaign from Peyton's little brother.

12. Joe Flacco, BAL. Sure, the addition of Anquan Boldin, combined with the solid pass-catching ability of Ray Rice out of the backfield and the reliability of Derrick Mason are all reasons to love the potential of young Flacco, but I was sold more-so on his grittiness last season playing through injury and still producing quality stats. The Ravens are on the path to big things, and Flacco is a main cog in that process. He's another guy I'm targeting later in drafts this summer.

Good Wide Receivers

Roddy White, Falcons.

You probably will not find anyone who has Roddy White on their top five list. Except me. You probably think I'm the dumbest, craziest football person ever. I'm not.

Roddy White is very lucky to have Matt Ryan because as Matt Ryan jersey becomes better it will be in part to Roddy White. He is what Anquan Boldin can now be to Joe Flacco.

White had 85 catches for 1,153 yards and eleven touchdowns. To be honest, most of you probably didn't know he had that great of a season. With Matt Ryan healthy, Michael Turner healthy and Tony Gonzalez back the pressure is off White which means he can step up and produce even more.

Reggie Wayne, Colts

Reggie Wayne, Peyton's go to guy, Peyton's best friend. Fantasy owners' best friend. While Pierre Garcon and Austin Collie came into their own late in the season that can be credited to Reggie Wayne.

Wayne football jersey was an absolute monster this past season, catching 100 passes for 1,264 yards and ten touchdowns. Peyton can go to Wayne and Wayne will deliver. Fantasy owners can to Wayne and he'll deliver.

Wayne getting rested in fantasy playoffs is the reason he doesn't crack my top five.

Sidney Rice, Vikings

This guy really hopes Brett Favre comes back. So should fantasy owners of Sidney or Brett. This fourth year receiver from South Carolina enjoyed his most productive season ever when Brett came to town.

One hell of a year thanks to a 40 year old man. Sidney had 83 catches for 1,312 yards and eight touchdowns. He added another dimension to the Vikings offense and rose up fantasy boards quick.

Fantasy owners take him high this year and towards end of season try to trade him unless Minnesota jersey brings in another quarterback, I think this is Brett's last season so enjoy the high ride he will bring you with Sidney.

Steve Smith jersey, Panthers

I know, you think I'm really crazy. I had a guy who is in a shaky situation at nine and now a guy who broke his arm playing flag football. That's ok because numbers don't lie.

I'm not just talking about last season in which he had only 65 catches for 982 yards and seven touchdowns. All that came with a shaky quarterback situation.

Well he has Matt Moore now so how is that better? Well he had Jake Delhomme and the past five seasons he's been a fantasy top 20. He should do the same whether its Matt Moore or Jimmy Clausen at quarterback.

The aims for Friday Night Lights of Chad Pennington

I was brought in in 2008 to run the ball club for two years and help set the foundation and help mentor Chad Henne and now they are turning over the reigns to Chad and I have a different role. But I think my challenge is even greater now that I have this role because I don't know when my opportunity is gonna be."

Pennington jersey is expected to begin this season as a backup to Chad Henne in Miami.

"To me, Friday night football is what it's all about," he says. "That's the most exciting part of being a football player. I've played on all three levels and Friday night football there is nothing better. Number two, I think at the high school level you can really help a young man set a foundation not only as a football player, but as a person."

When his NFL jerseys career is over Pennington, who has thrown for more than 17,000 yards in the NFL, would like to stay on the sidelines but stay true to his school.

While the Miami Dolphins quarterback is not expected to make any appearances under the Friday Night Lights this season, he does see himself back in high school someday.

Chad Pennington jersey as Eric Taylor?

FANTASY PLAYOFF SCHEDULE

Week 14: Indianapolis at  new Tennessee jersey - The new Titans jerseys usually bring out all of the stops against the Colts, and when both teams are in the playoff hunt their matchups can be epic. However, if the Colts are still fighting for a playoff spot, then they are usually able to have a fair amount of success against Jeff Fisher and company. Although it will be a tough division matchup, it should be another regular start for the Colts players on your roster.

Week 15: Indianapolis vs. Jacksonville
- This matchup should be a game between a team that can't wait for the season to end, and a team that is still has a postseason ahead of them. The Jaguars do not have the talent or personnel to reach the playoffs, and the Colts should have a field day in this game. However, the only negative about this matchup for the new Colts jerseys, is that by this point in the season they may have secured their spot in the playoffs, and if history has shown us anything, it's that the Colts are not afraid to rest their starters. This matchup for the Colts will rely heavily upon where this team is in the standings.

Week 16: Indianapolis at Oakland
- Although the Raiders football jerseys have proven to be one of the most inept teams in the NFL over the past few seasons, this will not be as great of a matchup as it appears to be on paper. If the Raiders have shown anything over the past few seasons, it is that they will play up to the level of their competition. Last season the Raiders defeated the Steelers, Bengals, Eagles, and Broncos football jersey, all teams that were competing for their playoff lives, but who fell to the lowly Raiders. The Raiders will put up against a good fight against the Colts, and with one of the most underrated defenses in the NFL, Oakland could shut down the Colts offense in the fantasy football championship weekend.

New York Giants jerseys wide receiver Steve Smith was interviewed by ESPN personality Trey Wingo earlier this week. The interview aired on the ESPN program NFL Live on Wednesday (July 7) evening. Here are the highlights of the very brief interview.

- "Consistency" was the key to Smith's amazing 2009 season (107 receptions in 2009).

- Smith wants to make "more big plays" and "be a spark" for the Giants in 2010.

- Expects the Giants to look at every game as if it's a title game in order to avoid meltdown during the second half of the NFL season. Smith football jerseys said Giants won't fall apart as they did in 2009.

- Giants have "stayed under the radar" during the NFL offseason. Smith thanked the Jets and the new Meadowlands Stadium for this. Believes the lack of attention is good for the Giants.

- Smith joked about recruiting NBA free agent LeBron James to the Knicks on his Twitter and Facebook account.

- On his impending free agency during the 2011 new NFL jerseysoffseason: Smith said that he "wanted to stay home" and remain with the New York Giants. Did not say if he has spoken to the team about any contract negotiations.

A Viable Fantasy Football RB2? Brandon Jacobs

Perhaps, new Brandon Jacobs jerseys' sheer size caused people to get giddy, thinking that he would simply run through people and into the end zone, racking up the TDs and ultimately causing him to be overvalued…

The thing is, could the correction have gone too far?  Given his injury history it is understandable that fantasy owners may have soured on Brandon Jacobs heading into 2010, but according to Mock Draft Central he is currently the 25th running back off the board.  That makes him, on average, the 52nd pick on draft day, or a fifth round draft pick.

Instead of a starting running back, that would make him a FLEX option, and to me that doesn’t make sense.

Clearly, there’s a risk involved in drafting him.  His running style has certainly led to his fair share of bumps and bruises, not playing in 16 games since his rookie year.  Last year was just a disappointment across the board, despite playing in, and starting, 15 games:

835 yards (3.7 yards/carry)
5 TD
2 runs of 20 yards or more

Throw in a virtual nonexistence in the passing game (career high is 23 receptions in 2007 and 184 yards in 2009), and you get a running back that is scary to depend on.  I get that.

I just don’t agree with it.

While I’m not about to draft him as my RB1, let’s not forget that he’s just a year removed from rushing for 1,089 yards and 15 TD.  In 2007 & 2008, he averaged 5.0 yards per carry.  Do we really think that at 6′4″, 264 lbs, he can’t get back to those types of numbers?  Do we really think he can’t return to converting goal line plays into touchdowns?

Let’s not forget that the new Giants jerseys offensive line, which had been the offensive rock, suffered injuries last season, which played a part in things.  Yes, they are aging and may have lost a step at a few spots, but they are still a talented group and should be able to create enough holes for Jacobs to break through.

Also, you have to remember that the Giants and Jacobs thrived when he had Derrick Ward working as a 1-2 punch.  Ahmad Bradshaw showed flashes in 2009 of being that secondary back (778 yards and 7 TD) and could help to shoulder the load with Jacobs.  That extra breather should help to keep Jacobs fresh and therefore more productive all year long.

I know there are concerns, but new Jacobs jerseys has the potential to return to his 2008 form.  That makes him worth drafting as a RB2 in my book.  I have him ranked slightly higher then he’s going now (20th among RB), and certainly would be willing to draft him as a main cog on my team in the late third or early fourth round.

Would I make sure I got another RB with upside (like a Jahvid Best or Ben Tate) just in case?  Absolutely, but the talent is there and he certainly is worth targeting on draft day.

What are your thoughts on Jacobs?  Is he worth drafting as a RB2 or would you feel more comfortable with him as a FLEX?  How early would you draft him?

Your Confidence For Frank Gore? the explosive one during off season workouts

Keep in mind the team should have a much-improved offensive line in 2010, along with legitimate receiving threats and if yesterday's confidence ratings are anything to go by, a capable quarterback running an offense he is familiar with. So what are your confidence levels for supply Frank Gore jerseys in 2010 (providing he is to get the general number of carries to obtain each goal - do not include splitting with Coffee, who only received 23 carries last season when he wasn't filling in for Gore's injury)? Let's quantify the confidence levels after the jump.

Still, he has yet to slip below 1000 yards, even last year after missing effectively three games (only missed two starts, but was only in for one running play in week 3 against the discount Vikings jerseys before getting hurt) and playing behind one of the league's worst offensive lines. Teams stacked the box against Gore, Shaun Hill was his quarterback and then Alex Smith before he got a little respect was his quarterback. Teams knew Gore was going to be the guy running the ball and he still rushed for 1,120 yards last year.

We'll continue with the 'workhorse' of the 49ers offense, HB Frank Gore. Gore has been a very solid player ever year with the 49ers and doesn't seem to be truly showing down. Yes, he hasn't quite reached that 2006 level of play again, but neither has he received as many carries in a single year since then. In 2006, he carried the ball 312 times, and since then has never surpassed 260 carries. This may or may not be due to recurring injuries.

San Francisco 49ers RB red Frank Gore jerseys looked as explosive as ever and lightning quick with his cuts during OTAs and minicamp, according to CBSSports.com. However, coaches made sure to go easy on his reps. They know Gore works out like a madman while home in Miami and that he has a strenuous season ahead of him.

People gave Drew Rosenhaus a lot of crap after the Terrell Owens business (remember the situps out in front of his house?), but overall he does a solid job of getting contracts done and his guys in camp.

The best example would have to be the deal the cheap San Francisco 49ers jerseys worked out with Frank Gore coming off his record-setting 2006 season. The deal wasn't the biggest or the baddest, but it set Gore up for life beyond his rookie deal, it showed the team was willing to reward strong performers, and more importantly, it showed Drew Rosenhaus was willing to make something happen rather than demand the team shoot for the moon on any deal.

My favorite line from Rosenhaus: "We're fortunate enough to represent a lot of players on the 49ers, so when you're dealing with them so often, it cuts out a lot of the b.s."
